Welcome to Dumfries and Galloway in the UK and to the Moffat Astronomy website. Our site is mainly in two sections. The first section is dedicated to the Moffat Community Observatory. The observatory is a community resource and open to the public for supported bookings for observational astronomy and astro imaging. Please see our "Make a Booking" page for further information
The second is dedicated to Moffat Astronomy Club. Here you can find information about our club and how to join. Moffat in Dumfriesshire is the UK's first dark sky town and read the story of how that came about. See our photo gallery for images of the night sky taken locally and send your own contribution for posting.
